Yesterday late morning, Hubby decided we’d had enough dry hours to attack the back yard. He got out there with the shovel and attempted to get rid of the “land mines”, the started to mow the “lawn”. The weeds were so bad that he didn’t see a tennis ball, which the mower sent flying up and OVER the neighbors’ house. He worked really hard and…well…the yard was sooooo bad that this was as far as he got.
The hydrangea is coming back!
You can just barely tell, but the Kalanchoe is coming back, too. Actually, it has somehow spread; I found two other mini sprouting Kalanchoes nearby!
I cut it back late, but the corner spreading yellow rose bush is coming back. OK, you have to look pretty hard to see it amid the weeds, but it’s there.
The big pink rose bush that was here when we moved in is coming back.
The miniature white roses that Beanhead gave us at Paul’s memorial service are coming back. (Yes, Beanie, your article will go in this week.)
