We Made It!
The Things & I made it safely to Singapore. SINGAPORE AIR ROCKS! It was totally worth the extra money to fly w/them instead of another carrier.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Food, food, and MORE food. Good food, at that!
- Personal video screen & controller.
- LOTS of movies, tv, music, video games.
- GREAT, attentive staff.
- Comfortable seats (even in Economy, though, of course, not nearly as fabulous as Hubby's Business Class cubical).
LOWLIGHTS:
- It's a loooong trip.
- Trying to sleep on a plane.
- Thing Two puked. Twice. (It wasn't really that bad, though.)
Teck & Patrice picked us up from the airport and got us to the hotel, where we rang the room doorbell and woke up Hubby. ;-D We all slept well, and I forced us out of bed at a decent hour so we can get out, explore, and get our bods on local time. In a couple of hours, we're changing to a room that - for the same price - is better for the four of us. Patrice is meeting us to help us plan our time and hang out.

my parents recently made a trip there, and loved it!
The drawback is the loooong flight, but eh, what are you gonna do?
