Knitting Update
To most people, two skeins of Eco Wool doesn't mean a thing. To the knittaz out there (well, the ones who aren't under a Luddite rock), it could only mean one thing, right? Shhh!!! DON'T SAY IT! It's a gift, and on the way-off chance that the recipients see this, I'm not going to say what it is. I knew about the problem with round 35, but even with the corrections, I was still having problems. OK, I'll be honest; it was giving me FITS. I was almost late for a med check appt w/my shrink b/c I was trying to figure it out! After tinking back what felt like a gazillion times (I was starting to fear that the yarn would felt!), I finally found my mistake, and I felt VERY foolish -- the old "Ya gotta do a different kind of yo before a p than you do before a k" problem. Stupid knitter! I bought a clue and put stitch markers between the sections so that when I do hit problems, it will be easier to find my mistakes. It's all going ever so much better now. Thanks for your help, Rebecca!
I hope I can finish this thing before the wedding shower (Saturday, the 31st at 1:00). Whaddaya think, knittaz? (BTW, the recpients aren't knitters, so I *will* be posting progress shots on Ravelry. I'm ericah64 on there.)
On a barely related note: I was soooo tempted to buy one of these today to wear in Mexico this summer (size XL, thank you for asking). After all, Sean's big birthday bash in PV is on WWKIP Day. (OK, I probably wouldn't wear it on the 14th, but I'd wear it on any of the other days.)

The "Surrender yer yarn!" one seems especially appropriate for a sailing trip. Maybe Hubby will see this and get it for me for Mother's Day (since I already used up my Grandma Ruthie money). Hubby? Hubby? Bueller?

I'm 41, haven't seen that movie in like 20 years, and use that line nearly every day!!

Clearly, I need more coffee.
Pardon my error, I just confused you with another 'erica's blog'.
But thanks for the laugh, anyway!

I'm going back to bed!
It IS you!
For some reason, I thought you lived in Maine.
My sleep-deprived brain is sending me a message that cannot be ignored: I'm too old to get by on 3 hours of sleep for 3 days in a row. Message Received!
(My son is now sleeping downstairs. I've set up watch outside his new digs. It's not working out for me; he's fine.)
Have a great day. (Comment this)
