Flourless chocolate cake with candy cap mushroom ice cream at Incanto in Noe Valley (an area of San Francisco for you non-locals).  Hubby’s been following the chef’s blog, so when we had a chance for a date last night, we went.

Oh.  My.  Gosh.  GO to this restaurant.  Get appetizers, pasta, entree, dessert, wine, the works.  It will be worth every penny.  Our bill was in the triple digits, but it was well worth it.

Before the next “I could tell you but then I’d have to kill you” project starts, I’m cranking on my guilt list.  This special project moved out of UFO hibernation and back onto the active WIP list:

So, today is the annual Pajama Day at school.  January is a good time for it b/c so many kids get new jammies and/or robes for Christmas.  Plus, if it were during the warmer weather, you might have kids showing up in inappropriate stuff; this way, they’re all bundled up since half the time (but not today) it’s raining.

 

Thing Two got to go to school today with a new hole in her face b/c she lost a tooth last night.  Sorry the picture’s fuzzy.

[Note:  Chailley is T2's pet hermit crab.  His name was supposed to be Charlie, but when she wrote it down, she misspelled it, then decided she liked Chailley better than Charlie.  We're just assuming he's a he, not a she; we have no real idea.]

T2:  Mom, I think I know why Chailley isn’t very active.

Me:  Why, because he wants a buddy?

T2:  No.

Me:  Because he’s too cold?

T2:  No; you’ll never guess.

Me:  Why?

T2:  He’s scared because my room’s so messy!

  Yeah, I know that last picture has a pretty silly pose, but I wanted to show just how looong that scarf was, and T1, my photographer that day, told me to do a silly pose, so I did.

The hat is made from just under one skein of Malabrigo Gusanito, which I got in a trade with Nicole.  The scarf is the skein of Noro Silk Garden MagicKnitter sent me for my birthday.
