Let’s start out the new year with a contest:

How many knitted objects did I complete in 2008?  The person who gets the closest to the correct number (w/o going over!) will get a prize.  (Note to Ravelers:  I don’t think you’ll get an accurate count by going over my projects listed there.)

Well, as you may have noticed, I took off the “101 in 1001″ link from my sidebar (plus the weight ticker).  I just got too discouraged about all my failed tasks, so I decided to abandon it.  That’s probably pretty lame, but goals should inspire you, not discourage you, ya know.

That said, I did accomplish some of my goals:

• I knit 10.7 miles of yarn in 2008.
• I turned three different online friends into friends IRL.
• I got some good black pumps.
• I did some of the “private” ones.
• Probably some others, but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

Usually, I HATE setting New Year’s goals/resolutions.  I think I just might set a few this year, though.  For sure, I will make it my goal to knit 10 miles of yarn again.  We’ll see about the others.
