Another Gift Done

PC210221 PC210222

Pattern is “Turn a Square” by Jared Flood.  The gift has a story behind it, but I’ll have to tell it later.  This was a very quick knit, pattern written clearly, etc.  It would make a great chemo cap - look at how low it comes on his ears.

More Performance Pictures

I just got these in the mail from Cathy (whom Hubby has named, “That mom, the blonde.  You know, the one you always call ‘Dude’.”).

OK, do we all remember our Sesame Street songs?  Yes?  Good.  1…2…3…“One of these things is not like the others!”

Overheard

Thing One:  Just be quiet when the news comes back on.

Thing Two:  Why?  Is it really interesting?

Thing One:  No, it’s not interesting, but it’s really important.

Mittens, and Bunnies, and Hats - OH, MY!

So, I’m sittin’ here, trying to figure out how I’m going to get it all done in time.  Here’s what needs to get done and the deadlines.  You tell me what you think:

  • one pair custom adult-sized fingerless mitts (to mail locally) FINISHED 12/19
  • one man’s hat out of Noro Kureyon (to mail out of state) FINISHED 12/17
  • two teacher gifts (before 12/18) FINISHED 12/18
  • one killer rabbit (before 12/24) FINISHED 12/24 (Whew!)
  • one pair kid-sized fingerless mitts from Plymouth Boku (before 12/25) FAILED
  • two men’s caps out of Plymouth Encore DK (before 12/27) FINISHED #1 12/25
  • one man’s cap out of Plymouth Encore Worsted (before 12/27) FINISHED 12/21
  • some sort of emo-type something suitable for a teenaged girl (before 12/27)

Existential Questions

PC110189

Is a Christmas tree ever really full, or is there always room for just one more ornament?

Is there such thing as a wrong way to decorate a Christmas tree, or is it all just a matter of personal taste and preference?
