Old Friends
Last weekend was our annual church conference, this year called RISE (as in rising above the challenges in your life, rising to the occasion, etc.). One of the best parts of going is seeing friends I don’t get to see very often. I brought along my camera but forgot to get it out till Saturday night after the final message. D’oh! Anyhow, here are the few pictures I got:
These are all people I’ve known for 20+ years, most for 25 years. Two were roommates of mine at one time or another during college. Knowing some of what all these people have gone through over the years, it’s inspiring to me to see them content, persevering, and doing well in life.

Wow. Brian and Feliz Hill! And Isaac Hill! All grown up, of course. I remember teaching him when he was about 6 years old with Matt Grocott at the First Congregational building in Berkeley. He was a wild one but he really worked hard to get it under control. I bet he turned out great with parents like Brian and Feliz!
