Zen Night @ Knitting Group

I forgot to tell you that we had a “Zen Night” at our knitting group a couple of weeks ago in order to clean out our stashes to get ready for Stitches West.  I took a box and a bag full of yarn and came home with this:

P2120006

A bunch of it is ack(!)crylic baby yarn for charity stuff; I don’t think I’ll have to buy yarn for the bereavement stuff or other charity items for a looooong time.  The two giant hanks are Kauni.  Kauni.  For free.  As if I don’t have enough stuff in my queue, now I want to make a Kauni cardigan.  Right.  A fingering weight cardigan for someone with a 48″ bust.  With steeks.   Mmmm….not gonna happen this week, that’s for sure.  Thing One has already claimed the fucshia Wool-Ease as being for something for her.  I thought Thing Two would want the two balls of pale blue cashmere blend, but she thought the blue was “too grey”, so she claimed the light blue Patons Classic.

  1. Free Kauni? I’m jealous now! Love that color too. Yeah, fingering weight sweaters with steeks kinda suck as I’m discovering with Donegal. They really just don’t knit up as fast as you want them to!
