Landscaping, Day Three
Today was all about trenches and the fence. Somehow, though, when I approached the worker dudes with, “Pregunta - Tenemos agua?”, all they said was “No. Sorry.” (as they wondered how much of what they’ve been saying outside my bedroom window I’ve been able to understand, he, he), which prompted me to snap my fingers in an “oh, darn” way and reply with “No puedo limpiar el piso. Less work for me!” NOW, if they had said, “No, because we broke a pipe when were digging b/c your lame water main was so stinkin’ close to the surface”, I might have had a slightly different response. Feh.
At this very moment, Hubby and Pat (father to the oft-mentioned Amazing Megan) are outside, replacing the lame water main and probably more that I don’t want to know about. We’ve been without water since at least 1:00, maybe earlier. The Things didn’t mind skipping showers, but I had to go next door and “borrow” a big thermos full of water so we could brush our teeth, and so Jenna could have water.
[BTW, now that I'm on Flickr, all the pictures I insert into posts are from there. If you click on the picture, you can a) see it full-sized and b) see the description/comments on it.]
