Actual Knitting Content!

No, I haven’t forgotten the “my knitting” part of my blog title.  I think my felted argyle bag is salvageable.  [Note to felters:  Argyle REALLY pulls in when it's felted!]  No pictures for ya’ll b/c if I ever get it right, I’d like to write up the pattern and submit it or even sell it.

Finished this baby sweater today for Mary Ann & Jovanny’s baby, due any day now.  Mary Ann actually went on maternity leave a week or two early, on doctor’s orders, so I’m going to have to mail it to them or drop it off at their house instead of Hubby delivering it.  I really like how the mosaic pattern turned out; what do you think?

Tomorrow, I wind yarn and cast on for…Araxi’s baby gift.  Just in case she happens to read this, I won’t say what it is, but for you knitters, think miles and miles of mind-numbing garter stitch with the word “Moderne” in the title.  Got it?  Yupp, I thought you did.  Of course, I couldn’t possibly do it as written, so it shall be done in fingering-weight superwash on size 6’s (I’d do 5’s, but I want the size 6’s will give me, and I think in garter, the drape will be fine.  AND I have to finish it on time or my name will be m-u-d with a certain sibling of mine.  j/k, Auntie.).  Wish me luck!
