Quick Update
THE GREAT PURGE OF 2007: We’re making good headway. Pictures after Hubby & Thing One get back from Sierra City (Uncle Mike’s interment). We have six “garage sale” boxes, one box to take to school, and many bags of garbage. Both Things’ books are back on their shelves, and their animals are on their beds. Thing Two put the “cat furniture” back in the doll house. The reduced number of puzzles and games are on shelves in Thing Two’s closet. Thing One’s knick-knacks have been culled and are displayed to her liking. Thing One has agreed to let Thing Two and me go through the Barbie stuff while she’s gone and not to complain about any decisions we make. I’ve decided that the toy box will be the new “Barbie Box” b/c we have a new rule — nothing under the beds. All we have left to go through is Barbies, Polly Pockets, baby dolls, dress-up stuff, and Thing Two’s knick-knacks. My goal is to get it all done this weekend b/c I want my living room back.
THING TWO: Well, school must have started. Thing Two caught the “back at school now” cold, which has developed into a yucky cough. She stayed home for a “Mommy and Thing Two Weekend” w/me, and she even missed school yesterday.
KNITTING: Pictures coming after Hubby brings back the camera. Suffice it to say that I’ve been a little insane (must be the heat) lately in this department. Knitting ADD would apply, too. The short version is this: Cashmerino Aran chemo cap, Mutant Mosaic Buttonhole Bag, sidways-knit scarf. Oh, and I picked up Nana’s yarn for her. AND I wound it for her - all TWENTY BALL of Debbie Bliss Merino Aran. Yikes! Turns out they gave her 21 balls, though she only paid for 20. I was tempted just to keep the extra ball, but righteousness won out, and I called the store to tell them and have them charge it to me. Saloni told me just to keep it for free as a reward for my honesty. I just love the color!
