Snork!

OK, so I haven’t admitted it publicly here, but on about the third try, I became a Lime & Violet fan.  Two great things from the latest episode:

  • Learning about LnV’s “party” on ChoreWars - KnitWars.  Oh, if you’re on there, I’m ericah64.
  • Hearing You’ve Got Hogwarts by Robert Lund.  Oh, my gourds, is this song funny (though you won’t get it if you haven’t read/seen at least some of the Harry Potter books/movies)!

SSS? Nope, not here…

No Second-Sock-Syndrome here; I finished the socks less than an hour ago.  Woot!  The following conversation ensued:

I’m soOOO proud!

You should be.

My first pair of socks!

Yeah, there are only ten thousand people out of a world of billions who can do that.

OK, that sounds weird, but it was actually a compliment.  Really.  Laughing

What?  Pictures?  Well, I could post pictures of the socks, but then I’d have to kill you, seeing as how they’re a gift, and 90% of the people I knit for read my blog.

Good Weekend

The Things got along - Thing One even let Thing Two have a sleepover in her room two nights in a row.

Robin’s shower was lots of fun.  Much pink.  Much cuteness.  She liked what she could see of the baby shawl in the pictures on the card.

Made Hubby go golfing Saturday afternoon.  After all, I’d gone out Thursday night and had been gone from 8:00 till 2:00 on Saturday.  He hadn’t golfed in a while, so he needed it.

Poppa & Nana liked their (slightly belated) anniversary gifts.  Hubby grilled up some yummy London Broil and corn on the cob.  Auntie made a nice Insalata Caprese.  Everyone enjoyed the drama of the Cherries Jubilee.  Jenna hurt herself, but it’s minor, and she’s OK.

And I finally went to check out Fengari since I was in Half Moon Bay.  I intended to just look, but I came away with the new VK (veeeeery disappointing), a bottle of Eucalan and three 50 gram balls of superwash baby yarn for $5 each.  OK.  OK.  This just miiiiiiight be part of why I persuaded Hubby to golf.  He still spent about $10 less than I did, though.
