Random Questions
Just a pair of random questions I’ve had on my mind recently:
- If you’re wearing clothes without pockets, where do you put your iPod when you’re listening to it? If I’m walking around the house doing stuff, I usually end up tucking it into either my bra or the waistband of my pants/underwear (not the best choice b/c it falls down my pants leg and disconnects from the earpods, it could fall in the toilet, etc.).
- On the radio the other day, they were talking about covers of songs. Are there any songs you can think of where the cover version is better than the original version? (Bob Dylan songs don’t count. He’s written some good songs, but ANY AND EVERY Bob Dylan song sounds better when someone else sings it.)
Discuss.

Goosh, you would like someone would invent something that would hold one of those things, maybe an arm band?
Sammy Hagar’s version of Piece of my Heart - I actually like it much better thsan Janis’ original version. (and I wont tell my dad what you said about Dylan LOL he is a huge fan!)
I think there is an armband but just for the shuffle. my ipod disappeared so i don’t put it anywhere these days
as for covers, one comes to mind immediately for me…Sinead O’ Conner doing Prince’s “Nothing Compares to You” Think what you may about Sinead herself she has an amazing voice. I remember I was working at a record store & the Capitol rep came in & asked to play us a video & her was Sinead against a white background just her face singing this song & crying (on 12 tv screens) We were speechless at the beauty of it.
Also Smashing Pumpkins covering Depeche Mode’s “Never Let Me Down”
Oh, i’m sure there more…
You can buy an armband at the Apple Store, but I bought a little fabric purse with a shoulder strap(or you could easily make one) at a craft fair and just stick my iPod in it and wear it around my neck or criss cross across my chest. That way I can tuck the extra earphone cord in the purse too. I’ve also used a fanny pack.
