Overheard

[in evil voice] Mwaaahaha!  I’m the treat monster!…[in sweet voice]  You want one, Mom?

Thing Two, Thing One, come here.

Coming!

What are you supposed to be doing?

Cleaning up.

What are you doing instead?

Playing.

If Thing One’s room isn’t clean in five minutes, I’m taking the WHOLE Barbie box and putting it in the garage.  Get it?

Yes, SIR!

[The room was clean.]

Baby Sweater

When Ezekiel was overwhelmed and afraid, he went and plunked himself down underneath a broom tree to do nothing and pray to die.  Me, when I was down, overwhelmed, apathetic, and hormonal last week, I cast on a baby sweater.

YARN:  Berroco SensuWool rec’d in a Knittyboard yarn swap a few months ago (why was this yarn discontinued??).  I really love the sproing that the nylon adds and the feel of the knitted fabric.

NEEDLES:  US 7’s & 8’s

PATTERN:  An altered version of a sweater from Cozy Knits for Cuddly Babies (same pattern I used for Ian’s sweater), BUT I used the same method of doing the sleeves as Wendy uses in the School Spirit Sweater, so instead of having to seam up the whole sleeve, I just had to seam the wee bit in the armpits.  Gotta love that!

INTENDED RECIPIENT:  Most likely Bob & Ginger’s Baby Boy 1.0, due in May.
