More F.O.’s
FINALLY picked up the Cashmerino and knit the second of Angela’s mitts. They’ve had their vinegar water bath (ratzen fratzen bleeding dye!) and are now relaxing atop the dryer. Woot! Don’t look tooo closely; the second one is a hair smaller than the first, despite being knit from the SAME ball of yarn with the SAME needles. Good object lesson in the wisdom of knitting a small project like this all in one sitting. And, PLEASE, if you’re a local who knows how to knit two socks AT ONCE on two needles, PLEASE, what can I use to bribe you to teach me how? (Kat? Lu? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?) It would have been wondermous if I’d been able to knit both of these at once. Anyhow, this is the first resurrected UFO of February. Woot!
Well, I was too slow on the uptake to join the
, but here’s a little something I did today. Actually, I didn’t do much. The leaves were leftover from Nana’s wreath. All I did was embroider the holly berries, then crochet and attach the hanging loop, et voila — the first Christmas ornament of 2007! Woot. One down, 187 to go….
