FINALLY!!!

Pathetic to have JUST TONIGHT finished Nana’s birthday gift? Well, considering it’s a Christmas wreath, and her birthday was November 29th…YES. [NOTE TO GRANDPA GIL: See, you got your birthday present closer to on time. I'm not going to discuss Father's Day.] I apologize for the fuzzy picture but, as you know if you’ve been reading this blog for any amount of time, I am The Reigning Queen of the Shaky Camera Hands. This was the good picture! [Someday, we'll get a camera with lens stabilization. Someday.]

The wreath is beautiful! I can tell a lot of work and love went into it even if it is a little late.
I had the same problem with shaky camera hands.
I got a tripod! they are not expensive at all.
I want to do one of those wreaths too! And say Happy Birthday to your Grandma for me! We share the same birthday.
Wow -I love it - your UFO ressurection progress is super inspirational! I need to haul out some of mine! Where is the pattern of that?
yarngineer, actually, “Nana” is my mom, not my grandma (my kids call her Nana). Her mom was Nana to me, though, so it gets confusing when I’m talking to my kids “My Nana, not your Nana…”
Susan, the poinsettias came from a pattern by Carol Bristol (http://www.vtknitter.blogspot.com). The calla lilies were from a pattern in the 2007 Knitting Pattern-a-Day Calendar. Some of the leaves were from Nicki Epstein’s Knitting Embellishment book, the others from the Perky Poppy Pins pattern on MagKnits. The wreath itself (which you really can’t see now that it’s put together) is a bunch of felted faux i-cords braided together. Then I threaded copper wire through. The I wrapped some more felted faux i-cords around it. Whew!
it turned out really nice. i’m hatching some felted flower plans myself.
