More Blocking

I’m pretty pleased with the way these turned out, though I’m already scheming how I’m going to change them the next time I knit them.  I’m thinking the scarf would be cool in this variegated wool I bought in Florence over the summer.

Particulars:

Cascade 220, US 7’s (shoulda been 8’s, oh well), my own design from a stitch pattern in a Barbara Walker book.

Finished Scarf

Oh, MY.  HOW did I manage before blocking wires?  Just lookie at them there straight edges.  Woot!

Bouton D’Or (50% merino, 50% camel), color Marbre, US 11’s.  3 balls.  This is the one for MEY’s mom, Mrs. S.  I really stressed out a lot about this one, but once I decided on a design, it went really quickly, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out.  Ahhhh, the ease of the blocking wires….
