Something Resembling Yarn…
…was created here today.
I was nearly done spinning the silk tops, when this happened:
Yupp, I’m pathetic.
Hubby and the Things arrived home shortly after the incident. When I showed Hubby what had happened, he said he’d fix it for me. Mere minutes later, here’s what he’d rigged up for me:
And look — it even has an ubercool hook on the top! (I’d had trouble keeping the yarn in the existing groove.)
So, my something-resembling-yarn and I are happy…

It looks like yarn! We have yarn! That’s how I felt when I spun up my first single. It was wonderfully crappy and I made it into an even crappier bag. I now use it as a tea cosy for my itty bitty pot. Happy birthday!
When we were at the yarn shop, I showed my mom a skein of some art yarn and told her what Zib had said when she was doing her PHart yarn thing about how so many of these “art yarns” just look like some beginning spinner’s attempts. ;->
