Halloween Night, etc.
We had a low-key Halloween night. Bobcat and Andrei came over, and Hubby took all the kids out trick-or-treating. MarkyMark came over when he got off work. All the kids had a blast, of course.
I did something different this year. I get really annoyed by the sheer greed of kids (usually teenagers) who go out trick-or-treating w/o even bothering to put on a costume, so last night when a kid w/o a costume came, I made him/her do five jumping jacks before I handed over any candy. They didn’t like it, but too bad. Once, the parents were on the sidewalk, and I heard them laughing.

Ready to head out.

Happy, sugared-up kids. Ooooh, yeah! I’m SO glad today’s a “no student day” in our elementary school. Our district was really shrewd when they started scheduling one of the two teacher training days the day after Halloween. I don’t blame the teachers for not wanting to deal with a bunch of kids who’ve been up too late the night before and who have a candy hangover. I feel for Andrei’s teacher….

My “Halloween Hair”. Not to worry, it all washed out this morning. (I do have a tube of gold for another special occasion, though.)

Leave it to Thing One to turn a skeleton (with bones accurately labeled) into a baby doll….
