Flaming Rainbow

It’s all done ‘cept for the weaving in.  I started Carrie’s Fisherman’s Rib scarf (the Tahki Stacy Charles Donegal Tweed in blues & purple), but then I had to frog it b/c I only have 2 x 183 yards, and at the width I was doing it, it would have run out at about 3 feet long - not a practical length for a scarf.

Hey…

…there’s an actual TOP to my dresser!

I’ve been in purge mode lately (Thing Two and I attacked the Miasma of Doom on Sunday, which is probably why my back was killing me on Monday), and yesterday I attacked my dresser & my side of the closet.  No more junk all over my dresser.  No more clothes piled on top of the hanging rod.  No more purses & stuff all over the floor on my side.  Woot!

So far, we have 5 1/2 boxes of “give away” stuff in the hallway, waiting to go to Goodwill (3 are from Thing Two’s room).  Next stop:  Thing One’s room (Miasma of Doom Redux).

Matthew Strikes Again…

OK, I swiped the picture from Kat, but I know she won’t mind.  Funny, I came thiiiiis close to taking my camera to knit night last night.  Wish I had b/c Matthew showed up with this guy.  Apparently he also took him to the Monday night Chicks With Sticks in the City (and people on both sides call him a knitting ho for two-timing). Anyhow, this guy’s going to end up in the window at Noe Knits.  Personally, I think Kat should have him sitting up in the roasting pan, knitting, but who asked me?

Anyhow, conversation degenerated fast, and it was decided that Matthew needs to make one out of Touch Me (“Touch Me Turkey”, or should that be “Touch me, turkey!”) with a horizontal zipper and a removable uterus inside.  Yeah, it was a wild night at Starbucks last night.

He’s currently working on a knitted dachshund.   And I’m not even going to talk about Halloween costumes.  Just not gonna go there (remember, I’m the token staid, frumpy, right-wing, Moral Majority type in the group).
