We’re heading out to a baby shower for Aunt Linda’s daughter, whom we’ve never met. I thought this was an appropriate gift. Whaddayathink?
I believe she’s having a girl, but I’m not positive, so I went with the “safe” colors of cream and navy blue. Should be fine, either way. Board books are always good, too (I’m SO glad I took advantage of a sale at Barnes & Noble to stock up!).
Sigh. When it rains, it pours.
Bobcat found out today that her job is going to be eliminated. The job they offered her in its place is one they know full well she is physically unable to do b/c of her disability (would require her to be in the office for 40 hours a week, instead of telecommuting for 20 hours/week, with an occasional trip in to the office). Needless to say, she was devastated.
Please continue to keep her and the rest of her family in your prayers. Sigh. Life stinks sometimes.
JOVITA: The enchiladas and beans were terrific! They lasted maybe 18 hours in our house. The carnations are beautiful and were such a thoughtful touch. Thank you.
ERICA Q.: Thank you for the first pizza we’ve had since we came back from Italy. I was so hungry by the time I sat down to eat that I ate…well…a LOT. Poppa even had a piece before he drove Nana home for the night. The rest was gone come mid-afternoon the next day.
MICHELLE & TANYA: Thank you for the great dinner tonight! Sadly, I turned the garlic bread into charcoal; I guess the meds make me dopier than I thought. Of course, the first part to get attacked was the brownie bites.
YUMIKO: Thank you for playing delivery girl! I know it was out of your way and probably a hassle with a toddler in tow.
SANDY: You silly girl! Why would I be mad at you? PuhLEEZE!
GRANDMA RUTHIE: Thanks so much for sending our boxes from Florida. Yesterday was like Christmas!
