Tooth Fairy
I keep forgetting to mention this — Thing One has not one, but TWO loose teeth! FINALLY. Poor kid has been waiting since kindergarten to lose a tooth. Now, at nearly eight, going into third grade, she’s finally going to lose her first.
Of course, we’ll be away when it happens, so she won’t be able to use her special “Tooth Fairy Pillow” (sorry, Auntie; there’s only so much room in the luggage). Ah, well.
Here’s the deal: How do I reach the Tooth Fairy in TX and FL? I mean, I figure there’s more than one of her, probably at least one per state. Anyhow, if she loses her tooth in one of those places, I gotta make sure she’s in sync with the CA Tooth Fairy….Actually, scratch that. I gotta make sure all the Tooth Fairies are in sync with US! I’ve heard crazy stories of kids getting $5.00 per tooth. Good grief! That’s crazy. [Insert weird nostalgic music here.] I mean, when I was a kid, I was thrilled to get 25c or 50c. $5.00? Feh. I think not.
TX and FL Tooth Fairies, if you’re out there, please, only $1 per tooth, I beg you (Hey, even I’m willing to account for the rising cost of living.). Thank you for your support.
