Vacation -3
Well, today’s Hubby’s last day of work till September 11th (Euw, the date just registered!). We leave on Monday, early. So, I’ll give you one guess what happened today…..
Yupp, Thing Two woke up with an icky cough. Ya just gotta laugh about this kind of stuff. Today was her last day of summer school, and she was all excited that they were going to have cake, but we decided to keep her home, dope her up, and make her rest. Hubby told her she’s not allowed to be sick b/c we’re all going on vacation, no matter what.
Despite the change in plans, preparations continue apace. Yesterday, Thing One got a bang trim, and I got an all-over cut. Short is definitely easier for the trip, but I’ll probably grow out the length when we get back.
Last night, I made trek to the salon for mani/pedicure, leg wax, and…other work. Let me just say that once every 10 years or so is about enough for that “other work” stuff. It was MUCH more traumatic this time; it felt like she was going to re-open my c-section scars. I won’t be getting that done again any time soon!
Still packing. Doing laundry. Cleaning. Ordered groceries so there’d be food in the house for Elizabeth. Ordered dog food.
Three days from now at this time, we’ll be in Anaheim. Wheeeeee!
