It’s All Over…

…but the weaving (and a button on the back).

PATTERN:  Pocket House Pullover (sans the pocket house) from Baby Knits Two, size 12 months

YARN:  Lion Cotton (part of the “Yarn Fairy” stash)

NEEDLES:  US size 5’s and 6’s

CHANGES TO PATTERN:  Knit in the round up to the armpits (really, who wants to do THAT much purling and seaming?!); contrast sleeves instead of MC; i-cord bind-off on neck (sort of; I think I did it wrong).

It’s still not my strength, but I’m getting better at seaming with mattress stitch.  90% of the seaming on this turned out pretty well.  I’ll probably always prefer seam-free stuff, though…

Ramble On

Godless: The Church of LiberalismAnn’s new book came out on Tuesday, and Hillary is already slamming it.  Is there anyone in the country who is surprised by that?   I thought not.

Aren’t these baby-girl hats adorable?  Wouldn’t they just make your little girl look like the princess you know she is?  Must get my hands on the book they came from.  Picture came from this blog.

BTW, the peurile rebellion that resulted in the purchase of $12.00 worth of Sugar & Cream was pointless, as was the hour’s worth of hiding it.  I ‘fessed up to the purchase (conscience prompted by some dialog on a silly sitcom as Hubby was “flicking”), and Hubby didn’t seem too upset.  Yesterday morning when I apologized for the “I’m mad at Hubby, so I’m going to spend money on yarn, even though I shouldn’t, and I said I wasn’t going to buy any yarn in April, May, or June”, he laughed at me and reminded me that yarn is a line item in our monthly budget.  Oh, yeah.  Hm.  Guess peurile rebellion never pays.  Funny, I thought I was 41, not 14…
