Knitting Update
Remember the baby sweater for Sanjesh? Well, he and his wife, Shoma, liked it so much that they’re going to pay me to make a bunch of hats for little Aditya. Cool, yes?
The raglan sweater is coming along well. Here is where it stands now, as I’m doing the “sleeve cap decreases”. I’m really happy with how it’s turning out. The red sleeves would have been great, but I like this, too.

Speaking of the sweater, Knit Night went well last night. We were all crowded into a pretty small space, but we even drew some spectators for a short time — a family who were fascinated by us, especially when they found out we weren’t a class, just a bunch of people hanging out every Tuesday, knitting. Ms. Lucy Van Pelt helped me untangle the yarn barf mess I’d made by allowing my two strands of light blue (knitting from both ends of the ball) to get all twisted up. Thank you, Lucy! I’m being much more careful today.
[Asided to Lucy: I forgot to tell you that I had a roommate many years ago who called me "Marcie", as in Peppermint Patty and Marcie b/c at that time I had big glasses and a haircut like hers. She used to say "You're weird, Marcie."]
Also last night, Jeannette gifted me with these:

[Hmm...Interesting...Tiny, long needles with big pink foam roses on them....Interesting.]
Well, open them up!
Oh, this isn’t them? OK.

OH, my goodness! They’re so cute! I don’t know if I could ever use them, though, because I’d be afraid of breaking them, they’re so delicate. I guess I need to make that needle vase now to display these and the two pairs from Cee….
