We took Jenna for a hike today in San Bruno on Sweeney Ridge Trail. My body officially gave me notice that I’ve gotten totally out of shape. Took a slew of pictures. I’ll never be any kind of match for Elizabeth or Zib, but some of them turned out pretty well. It was pretty difficult b/c it was so windy. Even the landscape shots were hard b/c I was getting blown around!
It’s an interesting hike from Skyline College up to an old Nike missile site (we didn’t know that at the time — we had fun trying to figure out what it was). We could have continued on toward Crystal Springs Reservoir, but we were ready to go. When there were people around, we put Jenna on the leash, but for a lot of the time she was off-leash and lovin’ life.
Highlights below. The full collection of pictures here.
This sign was kind of bittersweet. Back when I was pregnant w/Thing One, a troubled young family friend by the name of Mike Sweeney committed suicide. It was weird to see his name on here.
Don’t know what she was going after, but she kept sticking her face in this bush. It was pretty funny.
Is that poison oak?
I think so.
Well, I’m not gonna touch it; YOU touch it!
No way. I’m not gonna touch it; YOU touch it!
