[NOTE: Photo-heavy post with knitting content at the end....]
Well, I’m back among the living, or at least the ambulatory. I will take it a bit easy, though (OK, Nana?). Here are some sure signs that the mom of the house has been laid up in bed:

Lest you think that this means that Hubby’s been slacking, here’s what he’s been doing after “slaying the dragons” all day long at work and riding his bicycle both ways b/c his car’s not running right now: running errands I couldn’t run, mowing the front & back lawns, taking care of the Things, going to church, helping Homey fix his washing machine, etc. And that’s just in two days. Click for pictures of something else Hubby did yesterday…

We’re really hoping the mama bird didn’t reject this baby after he got back in the nest. He must have fallen out b/c he definitely wasn’t ready to fly. Hubby tried really hard not to touch it w/his bare hand. Jenna was going nutso, but she didn’t try to eat him. That would have been pretty traumatic for the Things.
While I was laid up in bed, I took the opportunity to enter this contest benefitting my favorite knitting charity. It was also a chance to practice log cabin knitting after reading Mason-Dixon Knitting.
