  Now that I’ve given it to her, I can post pics of Hobbes’ scarf.  Not the greatest, most creative, Knitty-esque pose, but it was a hasty “Oh!  I need to get a picture of you in the scarf!” shot as they were getting ready to leave.

  Here’s the detail.  Can you see the heart?  She’s kind of stretching it out so it shows better.  A non-fuzzy yarn would have been more appropriate for this but:

1. She likes blue, and this was blue.
2. I neeeeeeed to use up the Paton’s Divine before Doomsday…..

Pattern is the Heart scarf from Knitty’s 2004 Breast Cancer Awareness print issue.  This is especially appropriate as in 2004, Hobbes did the Breast Cancer walk b/c her mom Jean had just been diagnosed with breast cancer.  In 2005, she did the walk b/c Jean had recently died.

Happy birthday, Hobbes!  Hope your hearts keep you warm there in Half Moon Bay!
