Beware, there’s a stomach bug going around!  I got a call at about 12:30 today that Thing One had thrown up at school, so I needed to come get her.  By the time Thing Two and I got our shoes on, put Jenna in her crate, and got there, Thing One had puked three more times.  When I talked to the teacher, she said that something’s going around, that the custodian had been spending all day going around, cleaning up after puking kids.

She’s been hanging out on the couch, watching movies with Thing Two.  I just a few minutes ago let her have about 1/4 cup of water to drink.  Five minutes later, she barfed it up.  Looks like we’re in for an interesting night.  I’m going skip out on my knitting night b/c hubby needs to make tamales tonight for a work pot luck tomorrow.  I certainly wouldn’t want to eat tamales made by someone dealing with a puking kid.  Bleh!

 Yes, folks, we finally did it — we took our Christmas card pictures.  This is always a test of whether I’ll be allowed to remain the family or not b/c I get so stressed out and grouchy, turning into “Monster Mommy”, but it never shows in the pictures.  Hubby got out Grandpa Paul’s tripod, figured out the timer on the camera, and we did it.  Now, trying to get two kids and a dog to pose nicely is a bit of a challenge.

These two pictures are actually two of the rejects.  Yes, we rejected the armpit-sniffing picture and the one with Jenna’s nose a bit cut off.  There’s another rejected picture that I’m not even going to show you, and I’m going to delete it off the computer.  No one needs a picture of gut-roll like that!  The one we ended up choosing isn’t perfect, either, but when you see it, you’ll understand why we chose it.

I’m glad we got one that was good enough to use.  I don’t think we could have survived another picture session.  If we’d tried it, I’d probably end up living on the corner of the roof (or at least in the attic).

Well, the Tookie Williams debacle is over; he was executed last night.  I’ll let hubby do the commenting for us on the mess last night.  As he was watching the news, hubby was surfing the blogs and the news sites.  He noticed that the Comical…uh, Chronicle…reported on their site that certain celebrities “were” at Terrell Owens’ big birthday bash (Um, how could it be past tense when it was happening at that moment???), HOWEVER, as hubby was watching the live video feed from the San Quentin freak show, some of those celebrities were actually outside San Quentin.  He emailed Michelle Malkin, pointing this out and got this mention on her site:

He was SO excited!  It was kind of the equivalent of, say, Wendy or Zib crediting me with something.
