Nutcracker

They did it! We didn’t get home from dress rehearsal on Friday till 11:00, but it was all worth it. The show was great! Even Poppa, Nana & Auntie, who have seen the SF Ballet’s version of it, were impressed. It was NOT cheesy. The costumes were beautiful, the sets were well-done, and all the dancers did great. Thing One did so well — didn’t miss a cue, did the right steps, etc. Thing Two behaved really well during the whole thing. She started to get a little impatient near the end, but she did really well. It was a lot of fun to watch her watch it. Once, when the curtain opened and she saw the set, her jaw dropped. Thing One was so excited about all the roses we gave her — a dozen from us, and Poppa, Nana & Auntie each gave her one. We tried to go out for ice cream afterwards, but the place was closed, so Poppa, Nana & Auntie got some at the store, and we had some at home.

Tree-Stalking

On Saturday, we stalked and bagged a Christmas tree at last. Hubby’s having trouble uploading videos to ZippyVideos. As soon as that gets worked out, I’ll post the link to the “tree-stalking” video. It was pretty funny, watching hubby show the Things (and Jenna) how to sneak up on a tree. Click here for the rest of the pictures.
