Thanks & Meme
THANKS to everyone for all the wonderful emails and blog comments in response to my story on Knitty. I’m wearing “THE” scarf today in honor of the story (and b/c it’s finally WINTER here in South City; there was still frost on the ground and on the roofs at 8:30 this morning).
Haven’t done a meme in a while, so here’s one I swiped. Oh, and I tag Dani and Leah. Have at, gals!
Ten Random Things You Might Not Know About Me
- When I was in 6th grade, I wanted to be Patty Hearst, complete with machine gun.
- I have a “reverse” cafe au lait spot on my right calf. It only shows when I’m tan (and when am I tan any more?). If I’m tan, I have a white blotch there.

- I have cousins who are old enough to be my parents.
- My freshman year of college, I almost married a drummer in a garage band (thank GOD I didn’t!!!!).
- I did my senior thesis in college on James Joyce’s Ulysses and got an A, despite the fact that I’ve never read the entire book.
- When I was three years old, a dog bit me in the face, and I had to have stitches.
- When I was 29, I fell while ice skating and had to get 16 stitches in my face in two layers b/c the cut was so deep – 5 underneath, and 11 on top. One of my friends who brought me to the ER told the nurse I’d been playing ice hockey!
