Boutique Update

OK, the school holiday boutique is in exactly one month — December 3rd.  I’m feeling LOTS of pressure to get my inventory up for this.  I’m going to start posting inventory updates.  Suggestions on items to make would be MOST welcome.

FELTED BAGS:  6

SCARVES:  9

HAIR “FLOWERS”:  13

MISCELLANEOUS ACCESSORIES:  1

BARBIE ITEMS:  5

I want to use up my Paton’s Divine to make a simple poncho and a shawl or two.  I also need to crank out some more bags.  At the moment, I’m waiting on the arrival of my one-pound cone of black Lamb’s Pride (everybody say “Ooh!  Aaah!”).  I’d also like to make some baby items.

I can see that my future holds some late nights and some whole days spent in the rocking chair, knitting like a mad woman….

F.O.’s

Grrr.  I’d have pictures to post, but things are still kaflookey (that’s a technical term) here in blogland.  There are, however, pictures in the “finished objects” album and in my Yahoo photos.

I finished the gold Wool-Ease scarf.  Well, to be more accurate, I was bored of working on it for so long, so I just decided to stick a fork in it.  It’s about 5 feet, 3 inches long - just a hair taller than I am.  Please look at the pictures and let me know if you think it could use some fringies.  The second picture shows detail of both the wrong & right sides of the scarf.

I finished the “pinstripe” scarf, but I still need to block it to try to open it up.  It pulls in, so you don’t see the cool lace pattern to it.  I’ll have to do this soon b/c I’m kinda proud of what I did with fringe on the ends.

Today & tonight I have to crank on a Fun Fur scarf in Oakland Raiders colors b/c Mary, our wonderful crossing guard at Thing One’s school has taken a new job out of necessity (needs medical insurance for her family), so tomorrow is her last day.  The Things are going to make special pictures for her today.

After that, I need to crank out a “fuzzy pink scarf” for Victoria.  The Things are going to her birthday pajama party on Saturday, and when she was at our house the last time, she loved Thing One’s fuzzy pink scarf so much that she asked for one for herself.
