Tuesday Knit Night
Knit night at Bayhill Starbucks last night was good. A bit smaller than last week, but good. Katie & Ada, where were you? Rita, hope you’re feeling better since the root canalS.
Helga is amazing. Simply amazing. You should see the gorgeous baby sweaters she showed us that she had made for her daughter (due in February). The papoose she’s working on is going to be fabulous, too. She’s doing a Fair Isle pattern in double-knit. I really don’t understand it, but it’s turned inside out and closed, so all we can see is the wrong side of it right now. Even so, I can tell it’s going to be beautiful.
Jean is working on a beautiful pink alpaca lace & cable shawl.
Jeannette’s current bag is bright colors with diamonds.
Jennifer is plugging away at her felted tote bag.
Amy, our newcomer, is using up all her oddments of yarn to make “square” slippers.
Me, I was working on a narrow scarf in garter stitch lattice lace out of that pinstripe black/white yarn from the Yarn Fairy.
OH, and the yarn magnet is still working! As we were packing up to leave, Jean pulled out some Fun Fur in shades of purple to give me. I just had to laugh. “Stash Acquisition Beyond Live Expectancy”? Oh, yeah…..
