We were honored to be invited to a beautiful wedding today. Karen & Billy got married at the Westin St. Francis in the City. We really felt special to have been invited b/c there were only around 75 people there, and it was very fancy. The ceremony was in the St. Francis Suite, a beautiful wood-paneled candlelit room with Elizabethan portraits on the walls, etc. The reception was in Victor’s Palace on the 32nd floor, the fanciest place in the hotel. All the details were amazing, from the flowers to the appetizers to the food. The cake. Well, the cake was amazing — and we didn’t even get to eat any of it! (We had to get home to relieve the babysitter.)
Here are some highlights:
Patricia & Cesar, Karen’s parents. I’ve never seen Patricia look so beautiful!
Eva & Drew. They came up from Fresno so that Drew could perform the ceremony.
The happy couple during the toast.
The four of us.
Yes, this is the CAKE. Is that something else or WHAT? We didn’t get to stay for cake, but Karen said it was half cheesecake, half champagne cake. Patricia said she’d bring me a piece tomorrow.
