Washcloth

05 Sept First Washcloth  Made my first washcloth for Cloths for Katrina.  I feel silly, but I’m very proud of it.  The color doesn’t show up too well, but it’s a very feminine peach.  With the tiny stitches, it somehow makes me think of sea shells, sand dollars, the beach, a willow basket, etc.

YARN:  Berella Princess cotton (from Merry), NEEDLES:  US 6, PATTERN: Bev’s FAV Knit Bazaar Dishcloth

I want to make more, but it was so slow that the next one will be double-stranded on bigger needles, I think.

Anniversary

We’re trying to plan a trip for our 10-year wedding anniversary in November.  We want to go to the snow, but it wouldn’t be good for us to take a really big trip and go to Colorado or anything (like I wanted to do!).  So, we’re either going to go to Tahoe or Aunt Lila’s.  Aunt Lila’s cottag would be the cheapest, and we haven’t been there in several years, but the snow’s not guaranteed.  We’ve been there in November when there’s only rain.  We’re hoping to find some kind of cottage or something.  We’ll have to see….  If you have any tips on good place in North Shore, let me know.

$1 Rumors

Well, the $1 yarn at Target rumors are true.  The needles are pretty crummy, but the boucle baby yarn is cute, and the ladder yarn is cool.  It’s only 90 yards but hey, 90 yards for $1 ain’t bad at all.  I, however, managed to control myself and didn’t buy any.

Fun At The Dog Park

05 Sept Dog Park 001 ”All hail The King of Feathers!”

05 Sept Dog Park 002 The King of Feathers

05 Sept Dog Park 004  The guard.  Yes, the girls had more fun playing with (read:  destroying) the pampas grass at the San Bruno dog park than they did playing with Jenna.  Me, I threw the ball about a zillion times for her.  She got so tired she’d run away from me with the ball and refuse to let go of it b/c she wanted to rest, not chase it any more.  We spent an hour or so there.  We called Greg & Linda to see if Rocky could come out and play, but they must have been out.  Bummer.
