Round Two

05 Aug School Clothes 001 Round Two of school shopping today.  I’m not planning on doing any more.  We didn’t find any navy pants, but either I’ll order them online or someone will get them for her birthday.

It was insane out there.  Everybody and her sister were out there.  I’m SO glad we weren’t trying to do it all in one day!  As it was, by the time we left, I was hot, thirsty, hungry, tired, and cranky.  Not good.

Fuzzy Pink Scarf

05 Aug Pink Fuzzies Thing One says she wants a “fuzzy pink scarf” for her upcoming 7th birthday (September 22nd).  I think this is about as fuzzy and pink as you can get, yes?  The colors are officially “soft pink” and “raspberry”.  This will have to be a “night knitting” project so she doesn’t see me making it, but that’s fine.  It will only take a couple of hours, so I can do it in one sitting.

I know a lot of yarn snobs turn up their noses at these kinds of yarn but hey — the kid’s only turning seven.  This is exactly the kind of silly thing she’d love.  Any leftovers will be good as accents in pink felted bags.  (YES, hubby, this is from the big “stock-up order” a few months ago from Joann.com.  This was the $4.99 yarn I got for $2.99/skein.)
