Paris Loop - DONE

It felt like it took forever, but the Paris Loop Scarf is finally done!
YARN: Patons Divine, color Floral Fantasy (just shy of two skeins
PATTERN: Paris Loop Scarf
I have sort of a love/hate relationship with this yarn. I love how it feels, but it can be hard to work with, and it’s rotten to frog. This pattern was easy, but I did make a few mistakes when I tried to talk & knit & forgot which row I was on or if I was really dumb and tried to knit when I was too tired. Oh, well. As Knitapalooza would say, “If it wouldn’t be noticed by a blind man on a galloping horse at midnight - leave it be!”
Andrei’s Birthday Party
Andrei’s birthday party was yesterday at the zoo. Pretty cool. As you can see here, the kids really loved the masks. After games, cake, and ice cream, we all went and rode the Puffer Train, then hit the zoo. We didn’t stay long after the train ourselves, but some people stayed till closing. It was a lot of fun.
It’s OFFICIAL!
It’s OFFICIAL! We’ve adopted Jenna, and she’s a “real” part of the family (as if we could have let her go after four months of fostering her).
There was a dog festival at Alamo Square yesterday. Reunion Rescue was there, along with some other dog rescue organizations, dog paraphernalia stores, herbal dog food people, dog photographers, people doing Canine Good Citizen certification, etc., etc. It was a bit hectic, but we went so we could meet some other Reunion Rescue families and so we could finally sign the adoption contract. We made the girls sign it too so they could commit so some responsibility with Jenna. It was pretty cool. You should see our picture pretty soon in the “Happy Endings” section of their web site.
