Puppet Workshop

05 Aug Puppet Show 00605 Aug Puppet Show 00305 Aug Puppet Class - Spider

Thing Two just finished a summer puppet workshop.  The stuff they made was really cute.  See the “spider” in the picture on the right?  (Poppa & Nana, please note the shirt she’s wearing.)

On the last day, they did a “puppet show” for the parents.  It was pretty funny.  First, the teacher put on a CD of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and they all waved around “jungle trees” and lion puppets.  Then, she played “It’s a Small World After All”, and they made their people puppets “sing”.  Afterwards, one of the dads I’ve chatted with a lot (he’s a stay-at-home dad) said, “I see what you mean.  She’s definitely going to be the class clown.”  Oh, boy.

Secret Pal Stuff

Got our secret pal assignments — woo hoo!  Now, how to get around the “yarn diet” so I can get her some yarn…Not sure if that will happen, though, so I may have to content myself with getting her everything BUT yarn.  Oh, well….

Going Insane

OK, I’m going insane.  Yesterday or the day before when I was cruising the knitblogs, I remember seeing a post where someone went a little nuts and made a bazillion beaded stitch markers.  They were really cool, and she said her LYS had asked her if she was interested in selling them.

Well, I went looking for that post today, and I can’t find it.  I’m thinking it was someone I know — someone from either the Felted Bag KAL or The Preemie Project, but I just can’t find the darn thing.  Any of you gals know what I’m talking about?  If so, please provide the link or contact info.  Thanks.

(Laura, why do I think it was on your blog?????)
