Yarn Money!
At a party on Saturday night, a friend/twice former boss asked me to do some work for her. She wants me to come for four hours a day, one day a week for the next three or four weeks to organize her office. She said I was just the person for the job, and that she would pay me big bucks to do it.
My first thought? YARN MONEY!
Hubby’s first thought? YARN MONEY!
Woo hoo! Now, I just wonder if hubby meant “money to make up for the hundreds of dollars you’ve already spent on yarn” or if he meant (as I did) “money so that you can buy more yarn if you want to without breaking the bank”. We’ll have to see..
My sister has already said she could come down to hang out with the Things and The Beast while I do this, so all I need to do now is work out the details with Cynthia. Yippee! (Hey, maybe she’ll need some editing done, too, which I can do from home. The wheels of what’s left of my brain after three kids begin to turn…)
Tiny Little Bag
I finally tried my hand at the Buttonhole Bag. I really like this pattern b/c it’s so easy, and it knits up fast. However, b/c I used two strands of regular Galway worsted instead of two strands of Lamb’s Pride Bulky and b/c I put it through on a 12-minute cycle, it came out TINY.
Luckily, the recipient, per doctor’s orders, can only use very small purses b/c of her back, so the size is OK this time.
Beads were added after knitting, but before felting.
Photo Gallery
FYI, in an effort to make the best use of my limited space on here, I’ve started a separate photo gallery on yahoo.com. This includes a comprehensive gallery of ALL my finished objects, plus a separate one just for the ICN hat project.
I will continue to have the “Finished Objects” album on here, but it will only have pictures of the most recent projects.
