Buckaroo

There isn’t much I can say to describe this.  You just have to click on it, but FIRST, make sure you don’t have anything in your mouth (coffee, soda, etc. that you could gleek out your nose) and, if you have weak Kegel muscles, make sure your bladder’s empty first.

Ready?  OK, here goes:  http://www.ashearer.f2s.com/blog/?p=2

Mantra

My new mantra is “I will not buy yarn.  I will not buy yarn.  I will not buy yarn.”  Hubby was doing some bills the other night after we came home from vacation and was less than thrilled…OK, he was angry.  This after my buying several Disney trading pins while we were down there (I can see how people get really into it).  No more yarn for me for a while.

Not sure how to make Bobcat’s birthday present w/o buying yarn, but we’ll see.  Hmm…Maybe I can TRADE some yarn with someone on the felted bag knit-along or in the preemie project.  That’s about the only way I’ll be able to get it.

When I *am* allowed to buy yarn again, I’ve found a great resource:  www.knitpicks.com.  They have this yarn that’s supposed to be great for felting called Wool of the Andes.  It’s from Peru, and it’s only $1.79 for 110 yards.  Can you believe it?  100% wool for only $1.79!

Vacation

Day1 003Day2 014Day 03 079 Well, the travelogue was a nice idea, but not very practical.  When I was in the room, I was too tired to post.  All I did on the computer was clean out my email and upload the digital pictures to the Costco site so that the pictures would be ready when we got home.

We really had a terrific time, and we’re looking forward to doing it again in a few years.  There are some things we’d do differently next time, but that’s OK.  It really helped to have an extra adult with us, too.  Having the digital camera was a huge help.  It was nice to be able to take both stills and video w/o lugging around a big video camera.  Being able to immediately delete the ones that didn’t turn out was helpful, too.  The best of the pictures can be seen here.

Jenna seemed to have a good time at Uncle Sean & Aunt Connie’s house.  She was SO funny when we went to pick her up yesterday.  She was jumping all over the place, licking us, and generally going crazy.  She was all excited this morning, too.  Hubby said she was probably thinking, “I am home!  It wasn’t a dream!  I’m home.  I’m so happy!”
