I’m Going To…

Remember that old commercial that started like this:  “Hey, Joe Montana!  Now that you’ve won the Super Bowl for the third time, what are you going to do?”

What was Joe’s answer?  He turned, smiled, and said, “I’m going to DISNEYLAND!”

Well, folks…I’M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!

We told the girls this morning that we were leaving tomorrow morning for vacation, but we didn’t tell them where we were going.  All the know for sure at this point is that we’re taking an airplane, we’re staying in a hotel, they need to bring their bathing suits, and we’re not going to visit Grandma & Grandpa (Thing One’s first guess when she heard it involved an airplane).  We won’t even tell them in the morning.  We’re going wait till the hotel shuttle picks us up at the airport.  Thing One can read, so she’ll figure it out then.

I KNOW they’ll be excited b/c at one point this morning, Thing One said, “Oooh!  I hope it’s Disneyland!  I hope we’re going to Disneyland!”

We are going ALL OUT on this trip.  Details after we get back.

Actually, I may be able to post while we’re down there; we’ll see.  No promises, though.

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!  It has become a cliche, but do remember that freedom isn’t free.  We didn’t get the freedoms we have here in the U.S. just by asking politely for them….
