Baby Blanket

OK, I made decision about the baby blanket for Baby Kai.  I started that feather-and-fan one, and didn’t like how it was going.  Soooo, I took elements of a couple of different things and came up with my own.

It’s going to be a little smaller than the other ones I made, but since those ones were pretty huge, that’s OK.  Plus, this way it will get done quicker.

I’ll try to describe it, and when it gets big enough to look like something, I’ll post a picture.

I’m using the Fuchsia & Purple Wool-Ease, stranded together.  It’s BRIGHT!  It’s 89 stitches wide on size 11 needles.  It’s got a seed stitch border all the way around it like this blanket.  The body of the blanket is stockinette stitch, but with two columns of hearts going up the middle (separated by three stitches of stockinette stitch).  The hearts are from this scarf pattern (scroll down to page seven; it’s the heart one, not the boobie one).  Should be fun….
